DR LAXX falls to Team Heineken
Loss - Final Score 12-3.
Light numbers for a week night, away game - that's to be expected. I was talking on the sideline with Joe last night and I just don't know what our trouble is this season. We just aren't putting the ball in the net the way we should be. Our best showing was the Kisslings game and since then we have been held to lower outputs. I think Jay is right - let's all just relax, have fun and play the game, the rest will hopefully fall into place. Everyone is still getting used to one another and we have not quite jelled as a team.

Game at Fallston Rec. Center against Crease Monkeys on 15 May 2005 at 2 PM.

I agree with Scott, we need to just have fun and get to know each other better on and off of the field. One advantage that all of the teams we're playing have is that they've all played together for years and know who's going to be where at any point in a play. It may take a season or two to completely gel, but we're slowly getting there. We're showing flashes of brilliance and definitely getting opportunities. As soon as the shots start falling, we'll be in all of these games.

Thanks Clay - I think I speak for the rest of the board when I say that it is younger players like you that are this clubs future. The fact that you realize it takes awhile to build a successful team and that you are planning on being here for the long haul only makes the team stronger.
All of the younger guys need to remember this is the first year we have had such a great influx of talent and it will take awhile to gel. One game at a time. Let's have fun.

these comments are right on but there is no excuse for weak passes, so many dropped balls and a lack of hustle to get a ground ball. we seem to forget some of the most basic things in lax. stay with your man on defense and know your when to slide. clears have been alot better from what they were. i also think that when we have practices there should be more structure so that a group of guys get that familiarity with each other earlier than our 1st game.
