Wings Spoil Gait's Debut, Down Mammoth (w/ photos)
Story on Laxpower.com
Laxpower has posted an article covering last night's Philadelphia Wings game against the Colorado Mammoth - the first of this year's NLL season. Prior to the game, Gary Gait's No. 22 jersey was retired in a ceremony recognizing his 15 year indoor season. Gary is now coaching the Mammoth after his retirement at the conclusion of last season. The Wings had to climb out of a 5 goal hole in order to win the game. It appeared the Mammoth tired in the fourth as they led for the majority of the game until sometime in the fourth when the Wings went ahead for good.
It appears Reebok has produced helmets and gloves for the players to wear and the Mammoth and Wings were sporting the new gear last night. The helmets look like they may be modified versions of the Reebok Hockey helmet (8k). It is hard to tell too much about the gloves but Reebok has provided a lot of hockey equipment to the NHL this year so hopefully their lacrosse gear will be decent as they have experience from their NHL deal.
