baltimoresun.com - Longtime lacrosse official collapses at Navy game, dies
The DR LAXX/Hereford Lacrosse Club joins the entire lacrosse community in grieving for this tragic loss. Scott Boyle covered many A.L.L. games over the years, covered the Duburns indoor games, the Gilman summer league games and games at every other level of lacrosse. He will be sincerely missed by the entire lacrosse community and those that knew him.
Inside Lacrosse has put together a page for people wishing to share their memories of Scott.
On a personal note, as someone who takes face-offs, I was often the beneficiary of Scotty's humor at the face-off X as he was always quick with a comment or two before telling us to get into our set positions. As Jay mentioned below, Scotty always knew when to let us play and when to get things under control. For his knowledge and passion for the game, for his humor and easy nature, I will miss him at our games.
